Apply in confidence →Leading international projects team seeks an Associate to join its Melbourne office supporting project development and finance work across energy, infrastructure and renewables. The role involves working on all stages of project life‑cycles — from procurement and construction through to operation — on both domestic and cross‑border mandates.
The successful candidate will draft, review and negotiate project and construction contracts, assist with regulatory and financing aspects, and coordinate legal deliverables across multi-disciplinary teams. You will work closely with senior lawyers and external stakeholders on complex, time-sensitive matters.
- Australian legal qualification; 2–4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE)
- Experience in major projects, energy or infrastructure (power, transport and/or renewables)
- Exposure to project finance, consortium and contractor documentation; experience advising financiers, equity investors or bidders advantageous
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and client‑facing skills; strong attention to detail and time management
- Team player with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
