Join a market-leading Projects & Energy team advising international and national energy companies, trading houses and financiers across the full oil & gas value chain, including upstream M&A, LNG, midstream/downstream project development and financings. The role combines UK work with significant international mandates across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.

This is a transactional role for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys complex contract drafting and negotiation, risk allocation on project work and exposure to energy-transition technologies (CCS, hydrogen, SAF). You will work on high‑value, often first‑of‑their‑kind transactions and be expected to contribute to client relationships and business development.

The team offers structured training, clear development pathways (progression to Senior Associate) and opportunities to work collaboratively across multiple jurisdictions. Occasional travel will be required.

  • Qualified solicitor with c.3–5 years' PQE in projects/energy or related transactional practice.
  • Strong contractual drafting and negotiation skills; experience on project development, financings or upstream/downstream M&A in oil & gas or LNG.
  • Good commercial judgment, risk assessment skills and ability to work independently and within large teams.
  • Proven ability or demonstrable aptitude for business development and client-facing work; willingness to travel.
