Associate — Property & Liability, Edinburgh (or Glasgow)

Join a market-leading Property & Liability team advising major insurers, reinsurers and corporate clients on complex property damage, liability and subrogated recovery matters. The practice handles high-value claims including fire, flood, infrastructure damage, subsidence and claims under commercial and construction-related policies.

The role involves managing a varied caseload, providing commercially focused advice on coverage and dispute resolution, supervising junior lawyers, and contributing to business development and client engagement. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across an international network on technically demanding matters.

• 1+ years PQE; admitted as a solicitor in Scotland with a current Law Society of Scotland practising certificate.
• Strong technical knowledge of insurance law, policy coverage issues and dispute resolution.
• Proven ability to manage a complex, high-value caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent drafting, advocacy, negotiation and client relationship skills; experience supervising or mentoring junior fee-earners.
