Associate — Public Agency & Municipal Litigation, Los Angeles

Growing public-agency and municipal litigation team in Los Angeles is seeking an associate with civil litigation experience to defend public entities and law enforcement in state and federal matters and administrative proceedings. The role involves handling discovery, motion practice, and depositions; trial experience is a plus but not required.

The team provides litigation, counseling, and transactional representation to cities, counties, school districts, special districts, and joint powers authorities. The position offers collaborative, high-volume casework and opportunities to work as part of multidisciplinary municipal teams.

• 2–7 years of civil litigation experience, with preference for public-entity or law enforcement defense
• Admission to the California Bar required
• Experience preparing and responding to written discovery, taking/defending depositions, and drafting/arguing dispositive and discovery motions
• Strong legal writing, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
