Mid-level associate role in a Madrid-based public law and regulatory team focused on energy, infrastructure, project finance and administrative law. The team advises public bodies, private investors and regulated businesses on regulatory risk, public procurement, concessions, FDI screening, and related contentious matters before administrative authorities and courts.

The role involves advising on regulatory aspects of M&A and project transactions, reviewing licences/permits and concession arrangements, supporting FDI filings, drafting regulatory memoranda and submissions, and assisting in administrative litigation and regulatory proceedings. You will work on cross-border, high‑profile matters and support senior colleagues while managing multiple concurrent mandates.

  • 3–5 years PQE in public law, administrative/regulatory law, or related public sector/regulatory body experience
  • Practical experience in two or more of: public procurement & concessions; infrastructure/project public law; energy regulation; FDI/foreign investment control; administrative litigation
  • Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills; able to produce clear regulatory opinions and due diligence outputs
  • Organised, able to manage large volumes of material and tight deadlines across multiple matters
  • Bilingual Spanish and English (professional/near‑native level) and strong teamworking and client‑facing skills
