We are seeking an associate with solid regulatory, environmental and Indigenous law experience to join a busy Calgary regulatory & environmental practice. The role offers early responsibility on regulatory proceedings, compliance matters and transactional work involving regulated assets.

You will draft submissions, lead witness preparation, participate in oral hearings, and take primary responsibility for regulatory due diligence and applications that arise in commercial transactions. The team appears before provincial and federal regulators and handles appeals and enforcement matters.

The group works collaboratively across offices and practice areas, with formal mentoring, training and strong associate development. The environment emphasises professionalism, inclusion and opportunities for client-facing work early in your career.

  • 3–6 years post-call experience in regulatory and environmental law, including Indigenous issues
  • Experience with regulatory proceedings, testimony/witness preparation and oral hearings
  • Transactional experience involving regulatory due diligence and regulatory applications
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills and the ability to manage files with autonomy
