Senior Associate, Insurance Litigation — Calgary

Senior litigation role for an insurance defence and coverage lawyer to join a collegial team in Calgary. The role covers all stages of commercial litigation including legal advice, pleadings, motions, discoveries, mediations, trials and appeals.

This position operates on a hybrid schedule (minimum two days in the Calgary office) and offers opportunities for client-facing work, professional development, and involvement in practice-management activities.

• Licensed to practise in Alberta (or another Canadian province) and in good standing with the relevant law society
• 5+ years' post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house, focused on insurance defence/coverage and commercial litigation
• Strong legal research, drafting and advocacy skills; proven courtroom and dispute-resolution experience
• Excellent judgment, communication and client-management abilities; able to work independently and in teams
