Senior Associate — Insurance Coverage

Senior associate opportunity to act as coverage counsel for insurers across Western Canada (Vancouver, Calgary or Winnipeg). The role focuses on insurance coverage analysis, monitoring of defence files, and representation in coverage disputes and mediations.

You will advise on a broad range of policies (including CGL, professional indemnity, D&O, cyber and product-recall exposures), manage coverage investigations, coordinate with defence counsel, and act as monitoring counsel where required. The position supports hybrid or fully remote working arrangements.

• Qualified lawyer with admission to the bar in British Columbia, Alberta or Manitoba (member in good standing)
• 5–7 years post-qualification experience with a focus on insurance coverage and general insurance/professional indemnity
• Proven coverage analysis, litigation/advocacy and experience acting as monitoring counsel
• Excellent legal writing, judgment, interpersonal skills and client-facing experience
