The role focuses on Chapter 11 work, out-of-court restructurings and Chapter 15 issues, with exposure to financing, claims processes and plan confirmation.
Typical responsibilities include drafting pleadings, disclosure statements and plan documents; researching and advising on Bankruptcy Code and related statutory issues; negotiating DIP financing, cash collateral and adequate protection; coordinating cross-border insolvency workstreams; and working closely with financial advisors and experts.
This is a collaborative, training-focused role for an associate who wants to deepen technical bankruptcy expertise, take ownership of complex assignments, and participate directly in high‑stakes restructuring matters.
- 2–4 years’ post-qualification experience in bankruptcy, restructuring or related practice
- Strong academic credentials and solid grounding in commercial law and the US Bankruptcy Code
- Proven drafting and research skills (motions, pleadings, disclosure statements, memoranda)
- Experience with Chapter 11 matters, DIP financing, claims processes and cross‑border insolvency preferred
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively with teams and external advisors
