Associate — Restructuring & Special Situations Finance, Los Angeles

Leading international firm seeks an associate to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice in Los Angeles. The role focuses on special situations and capital-structure work across in-court and out-of-court restructurings.

Candidates will work on liability-management transactions, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings, bankruptcy exit financings and other special-situations financings. The position offers exposure to top-of-capital-structure representations for hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds and other financial institutions.

• Law school class years 2019–2023 (recently qualified associates)
• Experience representing creditors or borrowers on liability management, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings or special-situations financings
• Familiarity with Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings
• Strong transactional drafting and deal execution skills; comfort working with financial institution clients
