Market-facing insurance disputes team in London is hiring an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Financial Institutions & Directors’ & Officers (FIDO) practice. The role involves advising insurer and reinsurer clients on complex D&O and financial institutions claims across the life of a matter, from notification to resolution.

You will work on high-value, cross-jurisdictional liability and coverage matters, including coverage interpretation, aggregation and indemnity disputes, defence of insolvency- and regulatory-related claims, and management of litigation, arbitration and mediation.

The role includes day-to-day handling of claims, strategic input on large programmes, working with steering committees on multi-jurisdictional matters, supporting business development and mentoring junior lawyers within a busy international practice.

Qualified solicitor (England & Wales)
Significant post-qualification experience in D&O and/or Financial Institutions insurance or equivalent insurance disputes practice
Proven experience advising insurer/reinsurer clients on complex claims and coverage issues
Experience of litigation, arbitration or mediation casework; insolvency, regulatory or financial‑misconduct matters desirable
Strong legal analysis, drafting and advocacy skills; ability to manage complex matters and multiple stakeholders
Client-facing, commercially minded and able to mentor junior team members
