Join a national healthcare team as an Associate or Senior Associate advising on medical law matters. The role is based in Birmingham with hybrid working and involves Court of Protection work (including urgent treatment declarations), mental capacity and mental health issues, deprivation of liberty matters, inquests and judicial review.

You will work with NHS and healthcare-sector clients, insurers and providers on sensitive, high‑stakes matters that require both advisory and advocacy skills. The team handles a wide range of clinical and healthcare disputes and provides practical, timely legal support across urgent and complex cases.

3+ years' relevant UK legal experience in medical/healthcare law
Practical experience of Court of Protection work, including urgent healthcare declarations
Strong knowledge of Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health law and deprivation of liberty safeguards
Experience with inquests and/or judicial review work desirable
Confident advocate and adviser; able to manage urgent, sensitive matters and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
