A specialist disputes role within a Property, Energy & Construction (PEC) insurance team based in Sydney. The position focuses on technically complex, high-value insurance claims and coverage disputes across property, energy and construction sectors, with cross-border work and collaboration across regional offices.

Day-to-day work includes advising on and defending first‑party property, energy and construction insurance claims, handling contract works and industrial special risks matters, business interruption and delay‑in‑start‑up losses, coverage advice, and subrogation/recovery work. The role offers hands‑on litigation experience from matter inception to resolution.

This is a hybrid, full‑time opportunity for candidates seeking to build a long‑term career in a specialist, globally connected insurance disputes practice.

Experience in PEC insurance litigation or related property/energy/construction disputes in private practice (associates at multiple levels encouraged to apply)
Defendant‑side insurance litigation experience preferred; public liability (property damage) background welcomed
Strong technical legal skills and high‑quality drafting ability
Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied caseload; comfortable working collaboratively across offices
