Apply in confidence →Join a national public procurement team that operates a Procurement Centre of Excellence advising contracting authorities and strategic suppliers across the UK on complex procurements. The role sits across several regional offices with hybrid working available.
You will advise on procurement strategy and implementation across the full procurement lifecycle, prepare procurement documents and notices, and handle matters including direct awards, lawful contract modifications and issues arising under the Procurement Act 2023. The team also produces sector commentary and delivers training and webinars.
This appointment is open to candidates based in any of the regional offices (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle) and offers opportunities to contribute to thought leadership and client-facing training.
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with strong public procurement law expertise.
- Proven experience advising central or local government, public bodies, or suppliers on procurement matters.
- Practical knowledge of procurement processes, including direct award procedures and contract modifications (familiarity with the Procurement Act 2023 desirable).
- Ability to contribute to articles, webinars and internal/external training.
