We are seeking a junior-to-mid-level associate to join a national State & Local Policy & Regulation practice in the firm’s Atlanta office. The role focuses on strategic, practical legal advice on complex regulatory, legislative, and public-policy matters across state and local government contexts.

The associate will support administrative and policy-oriented litigation (trial court and appellate), collaborate with attorneys across practices, and produce written advocacy for clients, agencies, and courts. The position also involves contributing to business development through client alerts, presentations, and publications and building relationships with policymakers, regulators, and community stakeholders.

2–5 years' post-qualification experience in administrative law, regulatory work, public policy, or related practice areas
Experience in litigation support (administrative, regulatory, or complex civil litigation) is a plus
Strong legal research, drafting, and briefing skills; ability to translate complex regulatory concepts into practical guidance
Excellent oral and written communication; strong organization and time-management skills
Familiarity with regulated industries such as energy or health care is advantageous
