The team handles matters from pre-transaction risk identification through audit, administrative proceedings, and litigation.
Work includes transfer pricing, corporate and partnership tax disputes, SALT issues, employment/benefits tax, excise tax, information-gathering and penalty/whistleblower matters, and sensitive or potentially criminal tax investigations. The group regularly collaborates with appellate specialists and former government attorneys to achieve efficient resolutions and litigation successes.
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in tax controversy, tax litigation, or related tax dispute work
- Experience with corporate, partnership, transfer pricing, international tax, or state and local tax (SALT) matters
- Strong research, brief-writing, and oral advocacy skills; comfortable with litigation and administrative proceedings
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-practice teams and to engage with government and regulatory counterparties
