Top-tier U.S. law firm is seeking an experienced tax associate to join its fund formation group. The role focuses on representing fund sponsors and investors on fund formations, primary and secondary investments, and joint ventures across venture and private equity funds.

Applicants should be comfortable handling multiple concurrent matters, working collaboratively with deal teams, and advising sophisticated institutional clients. Flexible U.S. office placement is available, with the opportunity to be based in Chicago (role advertised for Chicago), New York, or Palo Alto.

The expected annual pay for this role starts at $365,000+. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement and generous parental leave and other employee support benefits.

Minimum 5 years of U.S. tax experience advising on fund formation and investment matters
Experience representing fund sponsors and/or institutional investors; venture and private equity fund experience preferred
Strong technical tax skills, problem-solving ability, and client-service orientation
Proven ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively on deal teams
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the relevant state bar
