Growing tax group in a national/international law firm seeks associates (class years 2019–2025) to join its Houston office. The team handles a broad transactional tax practice supporting private equity M&A, capital markets and spin-offs, energy taxation (oil & gas and energy transition), investment fund formation, and real estate/REIT matters.

Successful candidates will perform technical tax research and drafting, support transactional structuring and due diligence, and collaborate closely with deal teams and clients. The role offers exposure to complex, often novel tax issues across corporate and transactional matters.

The group values strong interpersonal and oral-presentation skills and encourages associates to develop client-facing experience and public-speaking opportunities, including participation in national tax conferences.

Law school class years 2019–2025
Transactional tax experience (e.g., PE M&A, capital markets/IPO and spin-offs, energy taxation, fund formation, or real estate/REITs)
Strong legal research and drafting skills and solid technical tax foundation
Excellent oral communication, analytical ability, and top academic credentials
Enthusiastic about client interaction and public speaking
