Associate, Tax — New York

Mid-level tax associate role in a leading international firm’s U.S. tax practice. The position focuses on taxation of mergers & acquisitions and divestitures, with significant opportunities to work on private equity structures, capital markets and cross-border transactions.

The team seeks a self-starting, team-oriented attorney with strong written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated interest in transactional tax work. This role is open to candidates based in New York or Washington, D.C.

• 3+ years of relevant tax experience; Big Four tax experience is a strong plus
• Experience with taxation of M&A/divestitures and/or private equity structures; exposure to capital markets and international transactions preferred
• J.D. from an accredited law school; Tax LL.M. preferred
• Admission to and in good standing with the New York or Washington, D.C. bar
• Strong drafting, analytical and interpersonal skills; comfortable working on transactional teams
