Apply in confidence →Join a well-regarded workplace relations team in Melbourne advising primarily for employers on a broad range of employment and industrial matters. The team handles contentious and advisory work including unfair dismissal, restraint and post‑employment matters, enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, workplace investigations, discrimination, bullying and health & safety issues.
This role offers varied matter exposure across sectors such as health & aged care, professional services, construction, financial services, hospitality, retail, technology and government. You will work closely with senior practitioners, develop client relationships, contribute to thought leadership and be involved in client-facing events and marketing activities.
- Admission to practice in Australia with a minimum of 3 years post‑admission experience in employment/workplace relations matters.
- Practical experience advising and/or representing employers on employment contracts, dismissal claims, industrial relations, enterprise bargaining, restraints of trade, transfer of business and Fair Work Act compliance.
- Strong drafting, analytical and advocacy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to run files and delegate to junior lawyers.
- Commercial awareness, client service focus and capability in matter management (time recording, billing and client liaison).
