The role focuses on traditional labor relations representing management before the NLRB, supporting union avoidance and collective bargaining matters, handling grievances, arbitrations and unfair labor practice proceedings, and providing day-to-day advice on federal and California workplace law.
Work includes counseling on union organizing and corporate campaigns, reviewing policies and compensation plans, conducting management training, and occasional due diligence for transactions. Position offers exposure to both litigation and advice work, hybrid schedule, and eligibility for firm benefits and annual bonuses.
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
- 4–6 years' post-qualification litigation and/or employment advice experience
- California Bar admission required
- Experience with traditional labor relations and NLRB proceedings preferred
- Familiarity with federal and California wage-and-hour, leave and accommodation issues
- Strong written/oral advocacy, research and project management skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required; occasional travel may be required
