The role combines representation before administrative agencies and tribunals with advice on federal and California workplace law, policy review, training and transactional diligence as needed.
Typical matters include handling NLRB unfair labor practice charges and elections, collective bargaining and grievance/arbitration work, union avoidance counseling, wage-and-hour and leave/accommodation guidance, and drafting/reviewing handbooks and compensation plans. The position may involve periodic travel and a hybrid working arrangement.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- 4–6 years post-qualification experience in litigation and/or labor & employment advice work
- California bar admission required
- Experience with traditional labor relations (NLRB practice, collective bargaining, arbitration) preferred
- Familiarity with federal and California wage-and-hour, leave and accommodation laws
- Strong research, writing, project management and communication skills; attention to detail
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
