Apply in confidence →Seeking a mid-level associate to join a national employer-side labor & employment practice in the San Francisco area. The role focuses on traditional labor matters representing management, combined with counseling on federal and California workplace law.
Day-to-day work includes handling NLRB matters and elections, grievance and arbitration proceedings, collective bargaining support, unfair labor practice charges, advising on wage & hour and leave/accommodation issues, reviewing policies and compensation plans, and delivering management training. Occasional matters may arise in the context of transactions and may require travel.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- California bar admission required
- Approximately 4–6 years' post-qualification experience in litigation and/or employment advice work
- Experience with traditional labor relations (NLRB matters, collective bargaining, arbitration) and employer-side counseling preferred
- Familiarity with federal and California wage & hour and leave/accommodation laws
- Strong writing, advocacy, project management and client-counseling skills; attention to detail
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
