Associate — Trial & Defense (Product Liability), Los Angeles

A growing California litigation team is seeking an associate with 1–5 years of solid trial and defense experience to handle product liability, general liability, premises liability, and catastrophic injury matters. The role will sit on the West Coast team (Los Angeles, with opportunities across San Francisco and Irvine) and will work closely with the Aviation practice group on related matters.

Typical responsibilities include managing a personal caseload (roughly 10–20 matters), investigating claims, developing case strategies, taking and defending depositions, drafting and responding to discovery, preparing pleadings and motions, and preparing pre-trial and trial materials. The role involves client-facing interactions and advocacy at hearings, mediations and trials.

• 1–5 years of litigation experience with substantive product/general liability defense work
• Admission to the California bar
• Demonstrable experience taking/defending depositions, drafting and opposing discovery, and preparing motions and pre-trial materials
• Excellent legal research, writing and oral advocacy skills; strong organizational and client-communication abilities
