Associate — Workplace (Public Law) — Brisbane

Senior associate role in a busy Workplace Public Law team advising government departments, agencies and statutory authorities on public sector employment and industrial relations. The team handles public sector employment advice, judicial review and administrative law, disciplinary and misconduct matters, legislative and policy-related drafting, and machinery-of-government issues.

The role involves managing matters end-to-end, drafting high quality advice and orders, and building strong client relationships with senior government stakeholders. You will work in a collaborative practice that values technical excellence, practical risk‑informed advice and innovation, including practical use of AI tools to increase efficiency.

• Minimum 4 years post-admission experience in employment law, industrial relations or administrative/judicial review work
• Proven experience advising government or public sector clients, or experience in a top-tier law firm or large in‑house legal team
• Admitted and eligible to practise law in Australia
• Strong legal research, drafting and advisory skills, with the ability to manage matters independently
• Interest in practical, responsible use of AI and technology in legal service delivery
