Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate — New York

Well-established national law firm seeks a junior associate to join its growing Bankruptcy & Restructuring team in the New York office. The role offers hands-on exposure to complex, fast-moving insolvency matters across a range of creditor and debtor representations.

The successful candidate will work on all phases of bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation, draft and negotiate pleadings and restructuring documents, conduct substantive legal research, and collaborate with senior lawyers on case strategy and client-facing work.

• Juris Doctor (JD) and 2–3 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience at a law firm
• Admission to the New York bar
• Experience drafting pleadings and arguing or briefing substantive motions in federal and state courts
• Strong legal research, drafting, case-management skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team; strong written and oral communication
• Strong academic credentials; federal bankruptcy clerkship preferred; commitment to pro bono work
