A firm-backed contentious asset finance team in Birmingham is seeking a qualified commercial disputes solicitor to join its Contentious Asset Finance practice. The role offers early responsibility on investigative asset finance and equipment leasing litigation, handling a range of matters from pleadings and disclosure to court bundles and witness work.

You will work alongside an established disputes team, assisting on client advice, drafting documents and court papers, and taking ownership of discrete tasks or smaller matters with appropriate supervision. The team supports hybrid working and provides structured training and development to build technical expertise and commercial awareness.

Qualified solicitor (England & Wales); NQ to c.3 years' PQE
Interest or experience in commercial litigation, asset finance or equipment leasing disputes
Strong drafting skills (pleadings, correspondence, witness statements) and experience preparing court bundles and disclosure
Good legal research ability and commercial judgment; confident client and court communication skills
Organised, attentive to detail, able to manage competing deadlines and work collaboratively
