Commercial Litigation Associate — Midlevel — Los Angeles

Mid-level associate role in a national litigation practice, based in Los Angeles. The team handles complex commercial disputes including consumer class actions and other business litigation; candidates will work on all phases of litigation from pleadings and contested motion practice through depositions and discovery.

Typical responsibilities include drafting and researching pleadings and dispositive and other contested motions (motions to dismiss, summary judgment, preliminary injunctions, class-certification briefing), taking depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery, and arguing motions. Trademark and trade‑secret experience or interest will also be considered.

The group seeks a collaborative, client-focused associate with excellent writing and oral advocacy skills who wants to build a broad commercial-litigation practice in a collegial environment. Candidates must be a current or pending member of the California State Bar.

• Minimum 3 years' litigation experience (law firm and/or clerkship experience preferred)
• California Bar membership or eligibility
• Experience managing cases and handling legal research and drafting for pleadings and contested motions
• Proven deposition and discovery practice skills; courtroom/motion advocacy experience
• Interest or experience in complex litigation, particularly consumer class actions and business disputes; trademark/trade-secret experience a plus
• Strong writing and oral advocacy abilities
