A national Compensation & Benefits team is seeking a senior ERISA attorney to advise on tax‑qualified retirement plans and health and welfare plans. The role focuses on plan design, administration and ERISA compliance across transactional and ongoing advisory matters.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include drafting plan documents and disclosures, handling compliance testing and corrections, preparing IRS and DOL filings, responding to audits, and counseling on benefits issues arising in mergers and other transactions. Experience with ESOPs and plan‑asset issues is a plus.

Minimum 6 years of ERISA/employee benefits experience advising on tax‑qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans
Demonstrated experience with plan design, administration, drafting plan documents and participant disclosures
Familiarity with compliance testing, IRS and DOL filings and audits, and correction procedures
Transaction experience counseling on benefit issues in M&A and other deals; ESOP and plan‑asset experience a plus
Strong academic credentials with superior writing, oral communication and analytical skills
