The role focuses on ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, drafting plan documents and disclosures, and responding to regulatory filings and audits.
The team also counsels on benefit plan issues arising in mergers & acquisitions and other corporate transactions and handles correction and compliance matters. The group offers a comprehensive benefits program and support for professional development.
- Juris Doctor and active bar admission
- Minimum 6 years' experience advising on ERISA-covered retirement and health & welfare plans
- Experience with plan document drafting, compliance testing, IRS and DOL filings/audits, and correction mechanisms
- Transactional experience counseling on benefits in M&A or other deals; ESOP and plan-asset rule experience a plus
- Strong writing, oral communication and analytical skills
