Apply in confidence →Senior compliance role within a major international firm's London compliance team, focused on financial crime across the UK and Europe. You will provide legal, regulatory and risk advice to fee‑earners and business services colleagues, support MLRO duties and lead aspects of the firm's financial crime programme.
The role combines advisory work (sanctions, AML, bribery, fraud, tax evasion and related regulatory matters), policy maintenance, training and project work to improve controls and systems. You will liaise with stakeholders across multiple European offices and represent the team in internal committees and external forums.
- Qualified solicitor with 5+ years' post‑qualification experience, ideally from a large City or international firm.
- Practical experience advising on AML/financial crime, sanctions and anti‑bribery (including familiarity with UK Money Laundering Regulations, POCA, Bribery Act and related EU/US regimes).
- Experience supporting MLRO functions, preparing/submitting SARs and managing regulatory interactions.
- Proven ability to draft and maintain policies, lead training, manage projects and deliver process/system improvements.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills; ability to supervise junior colleagues.
