Growing regional law firm seeks a Conflicts Attorney to join a centralized conflicts team based in Chicago. The role supports intake and lateral onboarding, performs conflicts searches and analysis, and helps resolve ethical issues for new matters and lateral hires.

Reporting to the Conflicts Counsel, you will draft screen memoranda and engagement documents, set up and manage ethical walls in firm systems, assist with large-scale data clean-up projects in the conflicts database, and work with attorneys and legal support staff to ensure the firm meets its professional responsibility obligations.

The position involves collaboration with national offices, occasional travel within the U.S., and occasional remote or after-hours work as needed.

Juris Doctor (required).
Minimum 2 years' experience working in a conflicts department at a mid- to large-sized law firm.
Working knowledge of professional responsibility and legal ethics rules related to conflicts.
Experience with conflicts software (Intapp experience strongly preferred).
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple high-volume tasks.
Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to translate complex issues for different audiences; team-oriented and adaptable to process changes.
