Apply in confidence →Senior conflicts-role within an international law firm's compliance & regulatory team, based in London. The role is responsible for conflicts clearance for new clients, new matters and lateral hires, advising partners and business teams on conflict issues and implementing screening and waiver solutions.
Day-to-day duties include analysing conflict-of-interest reports, resolving conflict issues (including drafting ethics-wall memoranda and obtaining waivers), reviewing matter intake information and engagement letters for compliance with professional responsibility rules, and supervising junior resolution analysts. The role will work closely with general counsel, legal operations and information governance stakeholders.
- Qualified lawyer/solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience working in a conflicts or professional-responsibility function.
- Strong knowledge of conflict-of-interest principles and professional responsibility rules across jurisdictions and proven experience resolving conflicts matters, including waivers and screening.
- Experience with conflicts/ethical screening and matter-intake processes; familiarity with legal research and basic commercial databases (e.g. Intapp, D&B/Hoovers, Capital IQ or similar) preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment.
