Well-regarded national law firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join its Los Angeles office compliance & regulatory team. The role focuses on managing conflicts clearance, matter intake and ethical screening to support fee-earners and the intake process.

The successful candidate will coordinate conflicts searches, analyze potential issues under applicable rules, prepare clear memoranda and clearance letters, and maintain the conflicts database and related workflows. The role works closely with partners and practice teams to enable timely matter openings and risk mitigation.

This is an operationally focused attorney role suited to someone with strong judgment on ethical issues, excellent attention to detail, and proven experience with conflicts screenings and intake processes.

Juris Doctor and active bar membership (California preferred)
Prior experience in conflicts, matter intake, or legal operations at a law firm or in-house legal department
Working knowledge of professional responsibility and conflicts rules
Excellent written and oral communication and strong attention to detail
Familiarity with conflicts databases and matter management systems
