Apply in confidence →Senior conflicts specialist role (London or Singapore) supporting a global law firm’s conflicts clearance, ethics screening and related risk-management processes. The role reviews new-client and new-matter intake, assesses lateral-hire issues and works closely with the office of general counsel, legal operations and practice partners to resolve conflicts and implement screening arrangements.
Day-to-day responsibilities include analysing conflict reports, preparing waivers and screening memos, advising on compliance with professional responsibility rules, reviewing engagement terms for risk issues, and maintaining accurate clearance records. The role will also supervise junior clearance staff and contribute to process and systems improvements.
- Qualified lawyer/solicitor.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience, with experience in a conflicts department.
- Practical knowledge of conflicts-of-interest principles and professional responsibility rules across jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with conflicts/ethics software (e.g. Intapp) and commercial research tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical ability, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and supervise junior staff.
