Seeking a Conflicts Attorney I to join a busy conflicts and risk team supporting new business intake, lateral hiring, and firm-wide conflict clearance. The role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and resolving ethical conflicts, preparing clearance reports, and drafting waivers and ethical wall memoranda.

The attorney will collaborate with lawyers, in-house counsel, and staff across practices, maintain the conflicts database, assist with software implementation, and provide training and support within the department. The position offers development, mentorship, and opportunities for increased responsibility.

  • J.D. and active U.S. law license.
  • Approximately 2 years' relevant experience in a large law-firm conflicts environment or as an associate at a large firm.
  • Knowledge of ABA Model Rules and jurisdictional rules governing conflicts.
  • Experience with Intapp (or similar conflicts/new-business intake systems); strong MS Outlook, Word, Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail and judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including occasional after-hours on-call support.
  • Role available hybrid or fully remote; must reside within commutable distance to the New York office.
