Seeking a Conflicts Attorney I to join a growing conflicts team supporting new-business intake, lateral hiring, risk management and conflicts clearance for an international law firm. The role centers on identifying, analyzing, and resolving ethical conflicts, preparing conflicts reports, and advising attorneys on jurisdictional and professional-conduct issues.

Responsibilities include conducting conflicts searches, drafting engagement letters/waivers/ethical-wall memoranda, maintaining the conflicts database, performing legal research on professional conduct rules, and supporting software implementations and special projects. The position offers hybrid or fully remote options for candidates within commutable distance to the Charlotte office and includes occasional after-hours on-call work.

  • J.D. and active U.S. law license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a conflicts role at a large international law firm, or 2+ years as an associate at a large law firm
  • Working knowledge of ABA Model Rules and jurisdictional professional-conduct rules
  • Experience with Intapp (or similar conflicts/new-business intake systems) and proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, attention to detail, and judgment; able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed
