Conflicts Attorney I — Compliance & Regulatory — Houston

Seeking a Conflicts Attorney I to join a growing conflicts & intake team supporting a major international law practice. The role centers on identifying, analyzing, and resolving ethical conflicts, supporting new-business intake and lateral hiring, and maintaining high standards of risk-management and professional conduct compliance.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed conflicts searches, preparing conflicts reports and waivers, drafting engagement and ethical wall documentation, advising lawyers on conflicts issues, and maintaining the firm’s conflicts database. The role also involves legal research on professional conduct rules, participation in after-hours on-call rotation when needed, and contributions to software implementation and special projects.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. law license
• Approximately 2 years' relevant experience in a large law-firm conflicts or comparable associate role
• Working knowledge of ABA Model Rules and jurisdictional professional conduct rules
• Experience with Intapp (or similar conflicts/new-business systems) and strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent analytical judgment, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
