Mid-level construction lawyer to join a projects, energy and infrastructure team in London. The role sits across non-contentious construction and transactional projects work, with particular exposure to energy transition developments as well as commercial real estate schemes.

You will work on matters across the project lifecycle (feasibility, procurement, variations, on-site support, refinancings and secondary sales) and on non-contentious construction aspects of development transactions (JCT-based works, bespoke consultancy appointments, development funding and sale/purchase documentation). The team advises UK and international clients and collaborates regularly with offices in the Middle East and Asia.

The firm offers hybrid working, a competitive benefits package and structured mentoring. The role includes client-facing work, matter management responsibility on less complex files, supervision of junior lawyers and opportunities to develop a distinct projects or construction focus over time.

  • UK-qualified (or equivalent common-law qualification) with mid-level private practice construction experience.
  • Practical experience with JCT contracts; experience with bespoke consultancy appointments and other bespoke construction agreements desirable.
  • Exposure to projects or infrastructure work (PFI/PPP, greenfield, asset management or operational project transactions) is a plus.
  • Strong drafting, technical construction knowledge, commercial judgment and good matter-management skills.
  • Comfortable supervising junior fee-earners and working collaboratively across international teams.
  • Interest in legal technology and AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining technical accuracy.
