A leading international law firm's flexible resourcing team is seeking an experienced construction/projects lawyer for contract and advisory engagements on major infrastructure matters in Melbourne. The role suits seasoned consultants or contract lawyers seeking flexible, project-based or hybrid working arrangements.

The role focuses on front-end construction advice, advising on structure and delivery of major contracts, risk allocation and supporting commercial teams through project lifecycles. The team works across infrastructure sectors including road, rail, energy and renewables and provides resourcing to both private and public-sector clients.

  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in construction/projects law
  • Proven front-end construction experience on major infrastructure projects (eg road, rail, energy, renewables)
  • Experience advising on contract structure, delivery models and commercial risk allocation
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and legal influencing skills
  • Demonstrated legal project management and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience advising government or public-sector clients highly regarded
  • Current practising certificate and right to work in Australia
