The role blends transactional drafting and negotiation with defense and prosecution of construction-related claims, including work on both public and private projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating construction and design agreements, advising clients on contract terms and risk allocation, and supporting dispute resolution and litigation. Candidates will work with custom and industry-standard forms (AIA, AGC, DBIA) and collaborate with experienced litigators and transaction attorneys.

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling construction and design contracts and related litigation at a mid-size or large law firm or in-house.
- Active bar admission and residency in the state of the office where the attorney will be based (Anchorage, Portland, or Seattle).
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills; experience with AIA, AGC, and DBIA contract forms.
- Experience supporting or managing construction-related claims or litigation, excellent communication skills, and strong client-service orientation.
