Apply in confidence →Join a global legal consulting panel operated by a leading international law firm to deliver corporate, M&A and commercial advisory work across Australia. The role is for self-directed, client-facing lawyers who can step into short-to-medium term assignments with autonomy and strong technical skills.
Typical matters include mergers & acquisitions, general corporate advisory and compliance, commercial contracts, payments/fintech, IP/technology and data privacy, private equity and related commercial work. Assignments vary in length (commonly 2–12 months) and may be based in-house with clients or as ad-hoc support to deal teams; many assignments are structured part-time (for example four days per week).
The panel offers ongoing access to firm resources, training and a consultant support team while you retain flexibility over engagements and the ability to build a consulting career across sectors and clients.
- Qualified to practise in Australia with unrestricted practising rights
- Right to work and reside in Australia
- Minimum ~4 years' post-qualification experience, ideally with top-tier firm, major financial institution or in-house corporate secondment experience
- Strong technical background in M&A, commercial contracts and related corporate matters; experience in private equity, fintech/payments, IP/tech or competition law advantageous
- Self-starter comfortable working independently on client assignments; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
