Senior consulting role for an experienced derivatives and structured finance lawyer to join a global firm's consulting panel in Hong Kong. The role focuses on advisory and transactional work across OTC derivatives, securitisations (cash and synthetic), structured equity/corporate derivatives, structured credit and commodities, and relevant regulatory developments.

Assignments are typically medium- to long-term (six months or more) and provide access to high-quality, cross-border matters and internal technical resources. This is a self-directed consultant position for candidates who want flexible, project-based work while maintaining strong technical engagement and client-facing responsibility.

Minimum 4 years' post-qualification experience, with strong derivatives and structured finance technical expertise.
Qualification to practise in at least one of England & Wales, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore or Australia.
Right to work and reside in Hong Kong.
Ideally some experience on Asian matters or in the region.
Self-starter used to working autonomously on complex, multi-jurisdictional projects; excellent communication and client-service skills.
Commercial awareness, resilience, strong organisation and ability to work with senior stakeholders.
Willingness to operate as a consultant where engagement is via a personal services company or equivalent contracting arrangement.
