Apply in confidence →Senior consulting role for a projects and construction lawyer to join a global consulting platform supported by a major international law firm. The role will focus on large-scale infrastructure, transport, energy and industrial projects across Australia and the Middle East.
Typical assignments include project structuring and delivery, project documentation and contracts, project due diligence and project-level M&A. Work will involve advising governments, developers, contractors and investors, and drafting and negotiating construction, services and maintenance agreements.
Opportunities will be available on roles based in Australia and on assignments that require relocation or routine travel to the UAE or Saudi Arabia; flexible working patterns are required to accommodate time-zone differences.
- Qualified to practise in Australia with an unrestricted practising certificate (or ability to obtain one)
- Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience, with a proportion spent in private practice (or equivalent consulting roles)
- Proven technical experience in projects, front-end construction, infrastructure and project documentation
- Experience with project finance, PPPs and large-scale transport/energy/infrastructure matters preferred
- Client-facing, commercial mindset with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Willingness to work as a consultant (casual/independent engagement), and to travel or relocate to the Middle East where required
