Apply in confidence →Six‑month contract opportunity for a senior associate‑level contract lawyer to join a busy Public Inquiries, Inquests & Public Law team in London. The role requires office attendance and is available to start immediately; remuneration is a competitive day rate paid via an umbrella provider.
Successful candidates will support statutory and non‑statutory inquiries and inquests, assist with internal investigations and independent reviews, and provide public law advice including judicial review strategy. The role involves large‑scale disclosure and information‑management exercises, witness preparation, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
The post is fee‑earning and will include supervision and project management responsibilities, working flexibly across workstreams to deliver timely, high‑quality outputs on sensitive and high‑profile matters.
- Qualified solicitor (SRA or Law Society registered)
- Approximately 2–3 years' litigation experience, with public law exposure
- Proven experience managing large‑scale disclosure or document‑review exercises
- Strong drafting, project management and stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to work under pressure on sensitive matters and to supervise junior team members
- Available to start with a short notice period (ideally no more than two weeks)
