Join a national law firm’s Licensing & Technology Transactions team as an associate based in San Diego. You will work on licensing, collaboration, research, clinical trial, manufacturing, supply and related commercial agreements for clients in life sciences, medical device and software sectors.

The role offers frequent drafting and negotiation, counseling on IP and regulatory issues, diligence support for strategic transactions, and collaboration with scientists, business teams and in‑house counsel across product and company lifecycles.

JD or LLM from an ABA‑accredited law school; admitted or eligible for admission in California or Massachusetts
3+ years’ law firm experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements for life sciences and technology clients
Background or degree in biology, immunology, biochemistry or related field preferred
Knowledge of IP law (patents, trade secrets, trademarks, copyrights); familiarity with software/SaaS transactions, data privacy and AI issues preferred
Strong drafting, negotiation, client counseling, organization and teamwork skills
