Top-tier national transactions team seeks a corporate/M&A attorney with 4–8 years' experience to join its Madison office as an Associate or Senior Counsel depending on experience. The role centers on leading U.S. and cross-border M&A matters for middle-market and upper middle-market clients, including private equity-backed transactions.

This is a hands-on, deal-running role: you will drive timelines, coordinate internal and external teams, manage diligence and workstreams, draft and negotiate principal deal documents, and serve as a primary client/counterparty contact. The group values collaboration, professional development, and strong work ethic.

The firm provides a comprehensive benefits package and publishes a salary range for this role to support transparency.

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and strong academic credentials
  • 4–8 years of substantial M&A/transactions experience (domestic and cross-border), including drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and related transaction documents
  • Proven experience leading deals day-to-day, managing diligence and coordinating teams; experience supervising and mentoring junior attorneys
  • Excellent project management, writing, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; timely admission to the Wisconsin Bar will be required as a condition of employment
