Join a national corporate tax team based in Birmingham as part of a wider UK and international tax practice. The role offers exposure to both transactional and advisory work across corporation tax, property tax, employment tax, funds and financing tax and cross‑border matters.

You will work on a mix of M&A, restructurings, joint ventures, fund investments and financing transactions, collaborating with colleagues across offices on significant UK and international mandates. The team advises corporates, financial institutions, investors and public sector bodies across key sectors including energy and infrastructure.

This is a development-focused role with formal training and on-the-job mentoring, offering responsibility for your own matters supported by senior colleagues and opportunities to build sector‑focused technical skills.

Qualified solicitor with approximately 1–2 years PQE in corporate tax or equivalent tax experience
Experience of corporate tax transactional work (M&A) desirable but not essential
Exposure to tax work during training or in a mid/large practice environment
Strong technical ability, commercial judgment and effective teamwork and client-facing skills
