Counsel, Business Litigation — Irvine, CA

Opportunity for a mid-senior litigation attorney to join a busy business litigation team in Irvine on a counsel (non-partner track) basis. The role carries a reduced billable requirement and focuses on managing complex commercial disputes from discovery through trial.

Ideal candidates will handle all phases of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, case management and courtroom advocacy. There is a strong preference for experience with consumer-finance and mortgage-related matters (contracts, loan modifications, wrongful foreclosure and related disputes).

California bar admission is required. The team values clear written and oral advocacy, strong academic credentials and the ability to take on responsibility for significant litigation matters.

• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in commercial/business disputes
• Active California law license
• Demonstrated skill in civil procedure, complex motion practice, depositions and courtroom experience
• Experience with consumer finance, mortgage or foreclosure litigation strongly preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication and strong academic credentials
