Apply in confidence →National law firm seeks a Counsel to join its Finance, Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice in the Raleigh office. This is a counsel-track (non-partner track) role with a reduced billable-hour expectation compared with partner-track positions.
The role involves representing commercial creditors, handling insolvency and restructuring matters, and litigating related issues. Typical responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, preparing discovery, and supporting/hearing/trial preparation.
The office will consider candidates who are licensed or immediately eligible for licensure in North Carolina and who can contribute to a collaborative, transaction-and-litigation-oriented team.
- Minimum ~3 years post-qualifying experience in business/commercial creditors’ rights, insolvency, and related litigation
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents; courtroom and deposition preparation/assistance
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Licensed or immediately eligible for licensure in North Carolina
- Excellent academic credentials and professional references
